Discovery Overview

AppDimensions Discovery ™ is an operation/function to perform discovery related operations, like discovering infrastructure, application infrastructure, applications, etc. In order for discovery functionality up and running, following highlight steps are required to provide system to be operational. 1.0 Pre-requisites / Checklist for deploying Platform VM/Service VM/Gateway Software/Binary. Platform VM/Service VM should be installed with the following recommended configuration. If not follow the instructions at Deploy Platform/Services VM Platform VM / Service VM should be configured with network credentials (IP Addr, Netmask, Gateway, DNS, NTP) and should be reachable via network. Platform VM / Service VM should be able to reach public network in order to deploy AppDimension services. Discovery Gateway should be installed, configured and reachable from Platform VM/Services VM. if not, follow the instructions at Install and Configuration of Windows Gateway Following sections will help setup Macaw platform to perform discovery of infrastructure, applications, applications infrastructure, hosts etc.
