CloudFabrix, the inventor of Robotic Data Automation Fabric and the Data-centric AIOps pioneer was named a Leader and Innovator and one of only two Outperformers in the 2023 GigaOm Radar survey for AIOps. This is the third time CloudFabrix has been recognized in those categories.

The report defines Artificial Intelligence for IT Operations (AIOps) as a collection of “technologies that automate, identify, and resolve IT issues. Additionally, it can predict and automatically resolve concerns before they become problems.”
Let’s expand on that definition before we look at GigaOm’s analysis of the AIOps market.
Why AIOps and Why Now?
AIOps became a must-have as a response to an increasingly complex IT environment and the demand for robust and efficient operations that secure and streamline IT and business processes.
Gartner came up with two distinct categories of AIOps- domain-centric and domain-agnostic, employed in the GigaOm Radar report for AIOps. The former may make existing tools redundant or replaced, while the latter layers over existing systems without introducing redundancy.
Domain-centric AIOps tools work on homogenous, first-party datasets and leverage AI capabilities for specific and narrow use cases. For instance, Incident Management vendors who later applied AI/ML to incident use cases fall under domain-centric AIOps vendors as they ease a specific pain in the organization.
Domain-agnostic AIOps vendors access historical and current data from across the organization in diverse formats and then optimize the IT infrastructure for performance and resilience. Domain-agnostic AIOps do alleviate a specific issue and bring strategic outcomes for organizations by bridging the gap between Operation awareness(IT) and business awareness (Line of Business) functions.
AIOps helps sift through the volume of noisy and redundant signals that overwhelm IT operations teams daily. AIOps enables faster incident response, deduplicates data, correlates it, enriches it and finds patterns to make IT operations highly efficient.
The GigaOm Radar report succinctly calls AIOps the awareness in an organization. It is an integral component of operational awareness and, by extension, organizational awareness.
